I’m so excited to participate in week 3 of Horror October by Novel Heartbeat! Check out her blog for more info! This weeks challenge was a creepy movie you’ve never seen! I chose The Snowman.
Thoughts:
Here’s the thing. I am a huge baby when it comes to scary movies. I don’t touch anything to do with demons or possession. I DO like monster movies (Jaws, Tremors…), and slashers. I choose those because they are super cheesy and I don’t take them seriously. Now, for this movie, I’m going to be honest, I thought it was about a killer snowman. Hilarious, right? Yeah, no. This was a straight up human serial killer. The first half was kind of boring and nothing really happened. It was all backstory and the detectives trying to figure out some missing person cases. But the second half got sooooo good! It surprised me that I actually was interested in this! There were a few funny/ cheesy parts, but that was kind of to be expected. And the killer wasn’t too hard to guess. But overall I’d give a 3/5. It’s also based off of a book by Jo Nesbo!
Next week’s challenge is a costume challenge to dress up as a book character! Can’t wait!
What creepy movies are you watching this month?!
